If your work doesn’t involve bar-code technology, feel free to skip ahead to the rest of this week’s picks. If it does, though–and you have a keen interest in the scan ability and quality of bar codes–then listen up: Smart Code Developer just came out with a major release. Version 3 of this .NET Windows Form Control now supports development of rich Internet applications in XBAP, as well as the next-generation GS1 Data Bar family (including GS1 Data Bar-14, GS1 Data Bar Limited, Stacked, and Truncated). These new features come on top of Smart Code Developer’s already formidable tool set, including verification and auto-correction tools, support for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services, and the ability to work in units as small as trips (that’s 1/1,400 inches, for you non-bar-coders).
